The Enterprise Platform team is responsible for enabling thousands of companies to offer safe, affordable & reliable solutions for ground transportation needs, using Lyft Business, as well as provide commerce solutions for various business units within Lyft.
As the engineering leader for this area, you will oversee a number of teams that offer enterprise grade products & platforms, including corporate business travel programs, payment solutions, account access features & integrity & fraud management systems . You will directly oversee managers, senior managers, & tech leads, with a deep understanding of the complexity of a fully scaled out system. You make necessary investments to provide highly scalable & reliable systems. You will contribute to the technical & product strategy as well as engineering-wide activities across Lyft such as hiring, onboarding, performance, & professional development.
Requirements
- 6 + years as an engineering leader
- Experience in managing an organization of 75+ engineers, coaching & developing other managers
- Skilled at leading a distributed organization across different geographies
- Technical background with ability to dive deep into planning & design discussions focused on scalability & future platform needs
- Managed business-critical systems at a scaled company
- Prior background in B2B solutions, payments & commerce systems, strongly preferred
- Operating experience at the intersection of data, machine learning, & distributed systems engineering
- Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity & interdependencies in an organized & structured way, holding your teams to the highest possible standards.
- Delegate meaningful ownership to the people in your organization & provide the appropriate coaching & mentorship
- Build strong relationships with product, sales, support & operations teams, to influence technical roadmaps
- Ability to motivate & instill a strong sense of identity within your team
