Job Title: Developer Advocate

Why this role is important:

As a Developer Advocate on the Developer Relations team you will work alongside a fabulous team of support & engineering professionals ensuring our customers & partners receive world class customer service while leveraging cutting edge tools & technology to move our mission & vision forward.

You will play an incredibly meaningful role aiding customers who are developing their own custom HTML, CSS, & JavaScript for the Igloo platform, & providing documentation & technical support to 3rd-party developers who are partnered with Igloo in an official capacity. In addition, youll have the opportunity to collaborate with the Engineering & Partnership teams develop proof of concept enhancements & provide valuable feedback to those groups.

The impact youll have:

  • Responsible for the Developer Community, including creation & maintenance of Developer Knowledge Base, API Reference Library, Community Forums & Developer Program focused blogs.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Engineering team to provide input, share customer feedback & implement customer focused best practices for building on the Igloo platform.
  • Develop proof-of-concept enhancements & solutions for internal & external customers.
  • Investigate Developer & Partner inquiries, & promptly & effectively respond to them via email or telephone.
  • Troubleshooting issues customers may encounter when deploying custom code to their communities.
  • Providing support to our 3rd-party developer Partners, helping to facilitate their success when building on the Igloo platform, assisting them in troubleshooting custom code & resolving any issues they may encounter.

What youll need:

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Exceptional degree of follow-up & follow through on your deliverables
  • Previous web development experience or skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Web standards & troubleshooting specific crossplatform, crossbrowser issues
  • Proficiency with JavaScript/node.js, RESTful web APIs JSON, & the DOM
  • Fundamental understanding of XML, C#, Python, React, Azure Cloud Services
  • Comfortable writing standards compliant code snippets for inclusion in documentation
  • Excellent knowledge & experience working with web development troubleshooting tools (ex. Google Chrome Developer Console)
  • Demonstrates the ability to problem solve & think creatively
