About the Team
The National Operations Center is Citizen's 24/7 newsroom. The talented, detail-oriented, & creative individuals on this team are the frontline of our business. Every incident created in the Citizen app is managed by a member of the Operations team. Citizen's National Operations Team consists of former journalists, copywriters, content creators, & first responders, who all have a passion for keeping their communities safe & informed.
Citizen is searching for an Operations Manager who will play a key role in leading our mission critical 24/7 National Operations Center. This role reports to the Head of Operations. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of analysts & writers motivated by keeping millions of our users safe & informed. As a team leader you will cultivate happiness while guiding the team through feedback, mentoring, development, & engagement. This means helping set team goals & then using data to efficiently measure & guide team performance to achieve them.
Please note that we run a 24/7/365 operation & candidates must have the flexibility to regularly work one weekend day.
