The Executive Recruiting Associate  supports a high-visibility & high-priority pipeline of executive searches & candidates in partnership with the executive recruiting team (Researchers, Coordination Specialists & Managers), hiring partners & cross-functional teams to build search strategy, manage executive candidate experience, execute on the search process, deliver related projects & participate in executive level events.  The Associate focuses on frontend search work, including candidate reach out, engagement & management from initial communication to onsite.  Associates are involved throughout the duration of the search lifecycle, attending kickoff & update meetings & owning candidate reach out, relationship & process management up to the onsite interview stage. 

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate relationship management 
    • Network & build strong relationships with senior executives & assess prospective candidates against open searches
    • Engage high potential talent through a variety of approaches including face to face, via email & LinkedIn & other methods to build interest in current & potential future roles & the Lyft brand
  • Partner with researchers & recruiters to build & manage strategic partnerships with hiring managers & drive inclusion & diversity plans with significant impact on each search
  • Develop deep long & short term relationships with executive candidates, ensuring a smooth & positive candidate experience at Lyft.
  • Innovate on ways to build a strong pipeline of leaders & recruit in a variety of venues in support of researchers
  • Identify internal talent at Lyft who can share knowledge of key/target companies
  • Cultivate recommendations & referrals from Lyfts senior executives
  • Work closely with recruiters & leadership to understand positions & long term business needs
  • Create job descriptions, role attribute profiles, & offer insights to researchers & recruiters for sourcing & offer discussions based on candidate & market knowledge

Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant professional work experience with an analytical & consultative focus, including daily exposure to senior executives in a corporate, management consulting or executive search environment
  • 2 years of recruiting at an executive search firm or internal/corporate executive recruiting role required
  • At least 1 year of experience in a large company setting with layered management, complex team structure & multi-tiered approvals & communications systems
  • Ability to effectively influence & drive toward results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience sourcing, screening & managing senior-level candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle
  • Natural connector; Has built & maintains a broad network of professional relationships
  • Knowledge of the TaaS space & Lyft brand; passion for Lyfts mission & creating a seamless experience for candidates & hiring partners
  • Impeccable written & verbal communication & collaboration skills
  • Client-first mentality with demonstrated skills in providing a world-class experience for clients & customers
  • Highly professional presence & polish; strong business acumen & intellectual curiosity & excellent critical thinking & advisory skills.
  • Self-driven prioritization in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
  • Adaptable, resourceful & calm under pressure in a high-stakes, high-visibility atmosphere
  • A proactive approach toward problem-solving; willing to jump into any high-priority project or task with a positive attitude
