As a Data Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Qonto's data protection requirements, & support Qonto's teams in defining all the processes & actions to ensure Qonto handles personal data in a compliant way.

You will be integrated into the growing Risk & Compliance department, & report to Alexandre, our Lead Regulatory & Internal Governance.

‍‍As a Data Protection Specialist at Qonto, you will:

Help Qonto's teams identify non-compliance risks in the management of personal data & design action plans to address these risks. You will also ensure that Qontoers are trained on data protection topics.
Advise the Product, Tech, Growth, & Ops teams in their projects & support them on the requirements to take into consideration. Regular topics include privacy notices, data protection controls, retention periods, etc.
Assist in the handling of queries & expectations from Qonto's data protection authorities, under the supervision of the DPO. You will ensure that the Regulatory team provides accurate, precise, & consistent replies to the CNIL, & the authorities in the countries where Qonto is based.
• Be ready to tackle new challenges & take on new topics as the Regulatory team grows.

About You

Experience: You have a successful first experience in data protection, preferably with a FinTech or financial institution.
Mastery: You have a good command of the regulatory topics related to data protection. You are able to explain them to any type of audience to highlight the non-compliance risk.
Analytical mind: You have strong analytical skills & a critical mind, & you are able to work on continuously improving your deliverables.
Eager to learn: You are passionate about data protection & regulatory topics (and ready to learn if you are not an expert already)
Organizational skills: You are structured, organized, & can arrange appropriately to keep the defined timelines. You are also able to identify hard points & escalate accordingly.
Communication skills: You know how to adapt to different stakeholders, visions, & needs.
Languages: You speak both French & English fluently.
