About the Product Manager Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager who can help build the best-in-class Citizen Services platform for the public sector! OpenGov Citizen Services empowers government agencies to move services online, streamline their workflows, & offer better constituent service for permits, licenses, grants & assistance programs, & other government workflows. Citizen Services is a mission-critical suite trusted by government agencies to power thousands of digital transactions every day.

This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on process-driven product development in a fast-paced, collaborative, & mission-driven organization. As Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to connect the technical & business worlds & build & document product features from conception to launch. You can break down complex problems into shippable features in a rapidly-changing environment. You have superb oral & written communication skills, you're industrious, analytical, & passionate about building products that delight.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with designers, engineers, users, & other stakeholders to drive features from concepts. 
Conduct research to identify customer pain points
Gather requirements & write user stories & acceptance criteria 
Be comfortable with understanding technical decisions & assumptions & use that to guide feature requirements
Prioritize features, build consensus & coordinate product development with engineering
Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams including: engineering, design, customer success, marketing, & sales
Maximize efficiency in a constantly changing & growing environment where the process is fluid
Develop product documentation & release details for internal & external stakeholders
Collaborate with others to develop online materials for support & customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Ability to think strategically & synthesize diverse information from many sources
Superb verbal & written communication skills
Proven track record of successfully coordinating teams and/or managing & releasing complex SaaS products, features etc.
Experience working with distributed teams
2+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS products
Knowledge of product management, scrum development & UX design principles

Nice to have: 

Experience in state/local government
Enterprise application experience - CRM, Customer Service, Business Process Automation
