The Analytics, Vice President is expected to lead a team of analysts & data scientists, to assist in driving company objectives in areas such as Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Finance & Legal. Success in this role will require driving delivery across the full spectrum of insights that can be gleaned from data, ranging from minor marketing campaign analysis to complex fraud or player behavior models. A combination of technical & leadership skills will be essential in ensuring that the team can consistently deliver the insights required, as well as continue to evolve in this fast-paced space.

  • Lead multiple teams, with a focus on impacting growth, efficiency, & profitability across FanDuel Group, as well as supporting our aim of being a responsible operator; Total group is 30+ & growing rapidly
  • Coaching & managing direct reports to develop teams in order to solve problems & create suitable solutions, while not micro-managing a highly skilled team. This role will focus less on actually doing analytics although rolling up sleeves may be needed & will focus more on how to coach resources, add new tools & approaches to be successful, & help when team is stuck trying to analyze problems.
  • Lead a team of Data Scientists, tasked with using data to provide both actionable forecasts & automated detection & decision models
  • Responsible for the delivery & maintenance of high-quality reports & tools
  • Ensure tests can be robustly analyzed & identifying opportunities to improve profitability & growth in an automated way
  • Own delivery of group-wide analytic processes working with other departments as necessary to expand group capabilities
  • Challenge the team to accomplish more using data in real time to help automate processes or enable insights & decision making faster
  • Co-ordinate with Flutter Group to ensure best practices are being shared globally & partner on common projects
  • Identify projects & drive to completion in order to enhance group analytic capabilities
  • Maintain a wider roadmap of high importance items working with senior leadership across the company to identify the highest priority areas to improve
  • Grow the team as the company continues to grow

What we're looking for in our next teammate  

  • A minimum of 10+ years' experience working in an analytics role preferred
  • At least 5 years' experience managing & coaching multiple teams of analysts & managers
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required, with a master's degree preferred
  • Hands-on expertise in multiple analytics or data science fields; you must know what youre talking about & have a cadre of approaches that can be used to solve business problems
  • Demonstrable track record of influencing down & across an organization
  • High proficiency & polished communicator of advanced data & analytical concepts to leadership
  • Working knowledge of Fantasy Sports, Horse Racing and/or Sports Gaming preferred
  • Robust experience in working with big data across multiple tools required
