Walmart Fashion adds hundreds of new items onto the website each week & the Merchandise Coordinators are the engines behind executing the studio product pipeline. The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for the active management of the image production pipeline for a subset of physical samples from the time samples are booked into the studio to tracking product samples through the shoot lifecycle & confirming that copy & image edit is complete & the sample can leave the studio.

The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for working with other studio teams & management to establish & adhere to throughput standards by working with the Sr. Merchandise Coordinator to schedule & allocate samples to relevant bays/sets to ensure the studio is maximizing efficiency & throughput.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Problem solving / troubleshooting of varied areas of business according to business needs
  • Assisting in training for new hires & serving as a resource for production best practices, including technology roll-outs, throughput forecasting & sample inventory allocation
  • Active focus on reducing volumes on the Not Available to Sell (NATS) report, minimizing the volume of not on site items across all categories
  • Propose & execute new process changes that would benefit the team (e.g. new vendor launches, logistics, communication tools & new systems)

The studio is fast-paced environment with an average of 30-100 items per bay daily, depending on category of business. A strong focus & sense of urgency is required along with the following skills. This role requires proven studio experience. The ideal candidate will execute on the following:

  • Manage merchandise purchased by Walmart Fashion
  • Coordinate production calendars by working with buying offices & photo studio
  • Communicate with vendors & Category Management offices to prepare shoots & work to creatively & appropriately style sets
  • Prepare material for daily/weekly turn-in & present to the studio
  • Generate & distribute reports as needed
  • Partner with cross functional leads to meet & exceed company targets & objectives
  • Work with Sample Assistants to ensure sample tracking through the turn-in process
  • Ensure correct workflow is followed for areas of responsibility
  • Identify & help resolve roadblocks in the workflow

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to work within deadlines, thinking creatively to increase productivity & throughput.

  • 3+ years relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of ecommerce experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills & passion for documentation & process
  • Keen eye for details
  • Strong Communication skills, written & verbal

  • Highly competent with MS Word & Excel
