WHO'S IN THE KITCHEN

Within Engineering, Operations & Logistics is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a Blue Apron meal. From recipe writing, purchasing, manufacturing, to picking, packing & shipping. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for transforming business vision into actionable initiatives & defining a strategy & roadmap for continued meal innovations while improving the bottom line.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU

  • Help set the product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, & coordinate schedules with a team of engineers to frequently ship high-quality products

  • Create & maintain a roadmap that simultaneously supports the business & aligns with corporate objectives

  • Fully immerse yourself in the day-to-day processes of our culinary & fulfillment centers

  • Work closely with stakeholders & developers to design the best solutions to our challenges

  • Own your product by actively participating in its entire lifecycle from concept to sunset, including testing & training

  • Translate business needs into tangible & deliverable software or hardware features

  • Drive the entire product lifecycle of your product - from conception, research, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, & all the way through launch

  • Create thorough product specs that clearly state objectives, proposed solutions, roles, dependencies, timelines, testing plans, etc.

  • Continuously identify opportunities & areas to improve with quantifiable justification

  • Build relationships with stakeholders by becoming a subject matter expert on their tools

  • Build relationships with developers by triaging request pipeline, prioritizing initiatives, & advocating future-proof technical design

  • Build highly efficient & perennial products supporting a continuously growing list of meal solutions

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS

  • 6+ years of product management experience

  • Supply chain, manufacturing or logistic experience a plus

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to identify real obstacles & viable solutions

  • Willingness to get hands dirty & do whatever it takes to ensure success

  • A track record of leadership

  • Experience prioritizing initiatives to ensure strategic alignment & return on investment

  • Experience delivering highly usable complex digital tools (hardware experience a plus)

  • Ability to transform verbal requirements into visual wireframes & written specifications

  • Deep knowledge of web technologies, UX patterns & software development processes

  • Ability to work independently to solve unstructured problems in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly organized, adept at project management & facilitating discussions

  • Comfortable managing & communicating in all directions
