Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager to join our Internal Communications.

About the role:

The Internal Communications Manager supports the Communications team to develop internal communications that inform & engage employees, & connect our team members to our mission, vision & values.

You will own the execution of several communications forums like our Tempe All Hands, & think creatively about the communications channels & platforms to develop. And, you'll provide the connective tissue on the internal communications team that bridges the gap between our Tempe & New York offices.

You will report into the Internal Communications Manager. This is a remote role, you will work remotely in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize feedback, including engagement surveys, colleague shadowing & feedback from Oscar's Operations leadership team to develop & execute an internal communications strategy that shares information across teams & offices & engages & motivates a distributed workforce.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations leadership, Tempe office leadership, & our People Team, to develop internal communications strategies & materials to build community & connectivity across offices & communicate Oscar's strategy & the Operations teams' strategy.
  • Work with partners & our Knowledge Management team, to grow our member-facing & service operations employee communications & ensure teammates have the information they need.
  • Manage the production of Oscar's Tempe All Hands & support the management & production of company-wide meetings, such as All Hands, leadership office hours, & other events.
  • Partner with & support Operations leadership in cascading relevant messages to all levels of team members.
  • Understand the daily complexities of our work & build engagement solutions to support multiple roles.
  • Help create a voice for our frontlines in larger company communications & All Hands.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in communications
  • Experience tailoring messages to distributed offices & both full-time/hourly workforce, & the ability to capture Oscar & our leadership's voice
  • Experience managing projects & coordinating content for communications campaigns
  • Experience working cross-functionally on events for audiences of various sizes

Bonus points:

  • Experience serving different types of employee populations, including customer or member facing team members.
