GLOBAL DEMO NITE @TechCode: PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT DOMAIN SPECIFIC BUT COVERS ALL DOMAINS. All demo startups will have a table to promote their startup & have an opportunity to give a 3minute pitch to the attendees after VC Chat between 8pm & 8:30pm. You will also have a video of your pitch uploaded to youtube.
Prashant Shah is Managing Director at TiE LaunchPad. He has been an early stage venture investor since 2001. He is an active Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley (www.tiesv.org) & a member of its Board of Directors. He also helped launch TiE Angels & is on its Steering Committee. Previously, he spent nearly 10 years at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners & was instrumental in many investments including Baynote, Bridgestream, Cenzic, InMage, Jareva Technologies, Krillion, Pancetera, Scalent, & Voltage Security. Prior to Hummer Winblad, Prashant spent many years defining & launching high tech products. His background spans all seven layers of the OSI stack with product management roles at enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Cypress Semiconductor & AT&T. In addition, he was on the Board of Trustees for Astia (www.astia.org) from July 2007 to April 2011. Prashant received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, & an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Jennifer Vancini is Managing Partner Pointgrey Partners. Jen brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry to her management of Pointgrey Partners & as a partner in The Angels Forum. She has worked with startups, mid-sized companies & global multi-nationals & has an extensive background in business & corporate development. Jen has held roles with Price Waterhouse, Certicom (acquired by RIM), Symbian (acquired by Nokia), the open source Symbian Foundation, & Vasco Data Security. Prior to focusing on Pointgrey, Jen sourced, negotiated & executed strategic & global deals for Telefonica's European & Latin American businesses.
