<P>Basics of Business is an intense two-hour night class that covers just that: the nuts & bolts ofstarting a company & what kind of things you should be aware of when youre just starting astudio.But in this full-day workshop, we will deep-dive into all these different aspects of forming a studio:There will be exercises that involve working in a group because even one-person studios rarelyever truly work alone in EVERY capacity, all the way from forming a team & company type anddeciding what kind of game youd like to make & how you plan to sell it.</P>

<P>Rachel Presser runs point-and-click adventure game outfit Himalaya Studios as CFO & Executive Producer & spearheaded a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2013 with six-figure results. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Lehman College & M.S. in Accounting from Hunter College & is a federally-licensed tax professional (Enrolled Agent) of almost 10 years. She has since left the financial industry to focus on running Himalaya & is currently writing a book about wealth disparity & the most hated film of all time. In her spare time, she enjoys the city's many punk, hardcore, & death metal shows, skateboarding, & petting amphibians.</P>
