EVENT DETAILS |
Join us as City & State officials present strategies & demonstrate products that help companies enter the Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) contracting space. Leveraging Grand Central Tech's Urban Tech Hub platform, City & State staff will be on hand to help tech & software companies begin the M/WBE registration process.
The Minority & Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification Program connects certified businesses with opportunities to sell their products & services to New York City agencies. The goal is to promote fairness & equity in City procurement processes by providing services designed to strengthen the ability of certified M/WBEs to increase their capacity & effectively contribute to the City's economy.
As an M/WBE certified company, you'll be more likely to be awarded a contract over similarly qualified competitors by an agency or vendor looking to meet their M/WBE participation goal. New York City aims to award $16 billion to M/WBE by 2025.
Thus far it has awarded $4.6 billion to certified companies thus far & is ahead of schedule. New York City M/WBEs are entered in the NYC Online Directory of Certified Businesses, which connects City agencies & other buyers with certified businesses, & have access networking to events for certified M/WBEs.
