This meetup will be about finding your tribe of women in the workplace & establishing a strong professional voice & identity. We will kick off the meetup with introductions, followed by a few conversation starters on the topics. This is your group - well facilitate the discussion to begin, but the dialogue is yours to define & build. Please come with your thoughts, ideas, & reactions as they relate to finding your tribe & establishing your profession.
Empowered Tech helps address & remove barriers & blocks through in person & online meet-ups, hiking, workshops, & more. Our goal is to help you confidently map your next career move in tech, overcome some of the issues & constraints that hold you back, as well as prepare you for your next interview.

Wendy Saccuzzo is a career strategist & technical recruiting specialist. She has worked with over 1,100 women in tech on their career transition, & in a recruiting capacity has helped to build engineering teams in early stage startup companies. Shes involved with Women Who Code as Director of Career Development & holds a Masters degree in Counseling with a focus on Career Development. Outside of work, Wendy is wrangling her kids, gardening, cooking or hiking.

Carol Langlois AKA "Dr Carol" has extensive research & training in working with females on self-esteem & empowerment issues. She holds degrees in Education & Psychology. She has designed her own technique to help women manage their inner critic & overcome roadblocks in tech such as imposter syndrome & the confidence gap. Carol is also a published author & playwright.
