Empire Angels Young Investors Series
Doing the Math
A necessary evil for both investors and entrepreneurs: get a quick and dirty education in valuations and cap tables. Keynote speaker Ellie Wheeler, Principal at Greycroft Partners, will give her take on the market, whether companies are being over-valued and how she approaches the valuation question, followed by a hands on cap table exercise led by Empire Angels. Don't worry - there will be plenty of beer to help the numbers go down.
Be sure to bring a laptop or tablet to participate!

Ellie Wheeler is a Principal with Greycroft Partners and is a member of the New York office. Her responsibilities include evaluating investmentopportunities, sourcing new deals, and working with existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Greycroft, Ellie worked in a similar role during business school evaluating investment opportunities at Lowercase Capital withinvestor Chris Sacca. Before working with Lowercase, Wheeler worked at Cisco in Corporate Development doing acquisitions, investments,and strategy within the communications, collaboration, and video verticals. Wheeler's past experience also includes working briefly at theLondon-based venture capital firm DN Capital, focused on early stage ecommerce companies. She began her career in growth capital privateequity at Summit Partners in Boston. Ellie graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a BA in Psychology and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Our events are open to all, and we work hard to ensure they are engaging, fun, and low cost to attend. It's not easy! We know things come up, but if you register for an event and just don't show up, it's a big disappointment.
