Danish Cleantech Hub is proud to host the high-level conference Cities for Global Impact Advancing the SDGs through Urban Action as part of Climate Week NYC. The conference will take place in New York on September 19, 2017.

The two high-level conference panels will discuss Healthy Cities for Better Living & Power the World with Wind as urban trends with potential for global impact.As the conference coincides with the UN General Assembly, the conference panels will also discuss how urban action can contribute to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference is hosted in collaboration with Confederation of DanishIndustry & State of Green, the founders of Danish Cleantech Hub in NewYork.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM 2.30pm Welcome & Opening Keynote Panel Debate - Healthy Cities for Better Living Coined as an international development initiative in the late 80s, the Healthy Cities holistic urban development approach is experiencing a refocusing in the global framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.

This panel will convene industry leaders & political decision-makers for a discussion onhow Healthy Cities continuously strive to improve the physical & social environments toenable people to perform wellin all the functions of life.

4.40pm Panel Debate -Powering the World with Wind Offshore wind energyhas become highly cost-effective. Asoffshore wind is alsoinexhaustible, & does not rely on use of water, it can be used in the developed as well as the developing world, & hence holds great potential in supporting the SDGs.

This panel will convene industry experts & political pioneers for a discussion on the potential of offshore wind energyandhow to speed up the deployment of large-scale projects both locally & globally.
