Danielle Adsit:
Danielle is a Recruiting Coordinator at Skillz who specializes in business development, strategic analysts & customer advocacy. As a lifelong learner, Danielle prides herself in latching on to her personal passion projects & aligning those with her professional goals. She received her B.A. in child & adolescent development from CSU Northridge & an MA in teaching English to speakers of other languages from the University of San Francisco. After graduation, she became an ABA therapist before transitioning into a 5+ year career in education as a teacher & admission advisor. Then, she transitioned to a recruiting career working for companies including Facebook & Elementum. As she continues to develop in her current recruiting role at Skillz, she aims to broaden her cross-functional work with Human Resources & Operations to ensure current & future Skillzians are set up for success in the years to come.

Maureen Shanahan:
In Gaelic, Shanahan translates (roughly) to wise storyteller. For over a decade, Maureen has embraced her Irish heritage, becoming an expert storyteller & connector of people, politics, brands, & media. She is an accomplished leader who provides trusted counsel to decision-makers & thought leaders, including C-suite executives at Fortune 500 & start-up companies, government officials, political institutions, global foundations, & advocacy groups. She is battle-tested from Capitol Hill & Hollywood to New York City & Silicon Valley.

Maureen specializes in parachuting in, rapidly getting up to speed on complex issues, & developing clear, concise explanations & talking points to navigate the nexus of diverse communities, public policy, crisis, & corporate reputation. Her expertise in strategic message development & media relations helps leaders communicate long-term vision through internal & external communications campaigns. She is a positive, level-headed & high-energy team player who exercises poise under pressure & close attention to detail. She also brings passion & intensity to every challenge, helping leaders tell authentic stories to sell ideas & communicate values.
