Healthtech Women is hosting our next quarterly event in conjunction with Dreamforce! We are thrilled to bring back this topic of Genetic Testing & discuss the current landscape around both Direct-to-consumer & Clinical Testing & what that means for consumers & the industry as a whole.
We will be hearing from pioneers & leaders in the industry discussing market trends, the impact of these tests, & what it means to have access to more data.
Over the recent years, we are seeing an increase in personalized therapies & treatments based on our genetic understanding. Genetic testing & sequencing have become popular to better understand our genealogy, health risks, & genetic variants. With all this new information, there are many new questions that we we are seeing from both a consumer & industry perspective. During this event, we will be addressing many questions around the impact these tests have on consumers & how industry is addressing challenges such as regulations, market growth, & new ways of innovating!

Jill Hagenkord, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Hagenkord is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty boards in molecular genetic pathology. As Chief Medical Officer, Jill is involved in health product strategy, identification & evaluation of strategic business partnerships, regulatory strategy, health information review, & the development of provider & patient support tools. She also serves as the company liaison to medical professional societies as an active member in the Association for Molecular Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, American College of Medical Genetics & Genomics, & the National Academies of Science, Engineering, & Medicine's Roundtable on Genomics & Precision Health. Jill received her M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1999, did residency training at the University of California at San Francisco & the University of Iowa, & completed fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Subsequently, Dr. Hagenkord practiced pathology at Creighton University Medical Center where she founded iKaryo Diagnostics. Prior to joining Color, Jill was the Chief Medical Officer at 23andMe, Invitae, & Complete Genomics.
Lena Cheng, VP Marketing, Freenome
Lena Cheng, MD VP Marketing, Freenome An internal medicine-trained physician & healthtech expert with seventeen years experience in medical marketing & healthcare strategy, Lena serves as Freenome's Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Lena helps translate complex medical concepts & value propositions into compelling, inspiring marketing strategies to help diverse audiences understand how Freenome's breakthrough technology can improve patient outcomes & lower healthcare costs. Prior to joining Freenome, Lena was Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at Doctor On Demand, the country's leading video telemedicine company. A key member of the leadership team, Lena helped to scale Doctor On Demand's partnerships with self-insured employers & health plans. Lena earned an MD from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the honors program in medical education.
