WHO IS ON THE PANEL?


DR. MICHAEL SORRELL
Selected as one of the World's 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune Magazine in 2018 and President of Paul Quinn College, Dr. Sorrell created the first urban workforce college and is an outspoken evangelist for innovation and thinking outside the box. Dr. Sorrell was also a keynote speaker at SXSW EDU in 2018.


MAX LUBIN
CEO and Co-founder of Rise, a nonprofit organization led by 10,000 students to bring free college back to California. Max is a former Obama Administration and helped shape more than $1 billion in annual investments in innovative schools, nonprofit
organizations, and institutions of higher education nationwide.


NANCY POON LUE
Nancy is COO of the Advanced Education Research & Development Fund, an incubator for innovative education practices started by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Gates Foundation. She previously served as Executive Director at VC firm Global Silicon Valley (GSV), overseeing the launch of their education accelerator, network relations for their education portfolio, and the annual ASU+GSV Summit.



ELISSA SALAS
Elisa is the CEO of College Track and will serve as the panel moderator. College Track is a 10-year national college completion program that prepares first-generation and low-income students with the skills, resources, and mindsets they need to earn a college degree. Since becoming CEO in 2014, Elissa has led the expansion of the program in Denver, Sacramento, Watts, and the D.C. Metro Area. Today, College Track serves more than 3,200 students in 10 cities across the U.S.
