Please join us for our 2024 Spring seminar series on "Entrepreneurship in Asian High-Tech Industries." Each year, this series surveys the most recent trends, patterns, & challenges of entrepreneurship in Asia & their relevance to Silicon Valley & the U.S. Guest speakers include entrepreneurs, investors & mentors, & other experts on the current entrepreneurial ecosystems of major Asia economies. The series kicks-off on April 2nd with Dr. Richard Dasher giving an overview of current trends & dynamics of major entrepreneurial ecosystems in Asia.
Dr. Richard Dasher has directed the US-Asia Technology Management Center since 1994 & is Adjunct Professor of East Asia Languages & Cultures at Stanford University. From 1998 - 2017, he served concurrently as Executive Director of the Center for Integrated Systems (now Stanford System X Alliance) & held Consulting Professor appointments in the Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2004, Dr. Dasher became the first non-Japanese person to join the governance of a Japanese national university, serving on the Board of Directors & then on the Management Council of Tohoku University until 2011. Other service (selected) includes the Program Committee of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI) of MEXT since its founding in 2007, & advisory roles with research institutes, accelerators, & nonprofits in Asia, Canada, & the U.S.
Our seminars are being offered in a hybrid format & are open to the public in-person.
