About Techtonica
Techtonica is a nonprofit that offers local women & non-binary adults with low incomes six months of full-time tech training, then places them in positions at sponsoring companies that are ready to support more diverse teams.
Techtonica's mission is to make every engineering team as diverse as its local community while empowering women & non-binary adults with low incomes through tech training & careers.
About the Event
Are you committed to making your workplace more diverse & inclusive while supporting the local community?Join Techtonica for an exclusive hiring event open to recruiters & hiring managers looking to fill technical roles in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Although Techtonica places graduates with advocate sponsors, several of our partner companies are unable to offer long-term full-time positions at this point, so the roles filled by our graduates will end in October & November. This event is our way of placing our graduates in longer-term jobs while helping you fill your recruiting needs.
Our graduates learned full-stack JavaScript (see a curriculum overview here) during their six months at Techtonica, & have three months of working experience. The graduates will speak about their final projects & what they've learned during their time working at a partner company. You'll be able to speak with & conduct short interviews with some of the graduates. You can schedule longer interviews, & if you end up hiring, you'll give Techtonica a placement fee* to support future participants.
The event will take place near public transporation in San Francisco's FiDi or SoMa areas.

*All proceeds will support Techtonica's program costs: training, stipends, equipment, etc.Because Techtonica relies on placements to support our programs, by attending this event, you/your company agree/s to give Techtonica a placement fee (starting at 7-10% of starting salary depending on company size) for any of the Techtonica apprentices you/your company hire/s during 2018.You also agree toTechtonica's media releaseandCode of Conduct.
