EVENT DETAILS
DWeb Camp is a four-day retreat for dreamers & builders. For those who want to co-create a Decentralized Web where our values are baked into the code. DWeb Camp is a place where diverse people can freely exchange ideas about the technologies, laws, markets & agreements we need to move forward.
Set on a farm nestled just above the Pacific Ocean, DWeb Camp is also a chance to make deep connections: to your values, to global communities, & to the planet around you. So come hack, hike, camp, cook & create a better society together beneath the stars!

Location: We've reserved a private farm one hour south of San Francisco, California & one hour west of San Jose. It's surrounded by 700 acres of pristine, untouched coastal land: beach, forest, stream. Hike 15 minutes & you'll be at the Pacific Ocean. Once you register, we'll send you the exact location.

What's included:Camping for 4 days in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth. All your meals will be covered in the cost of your ticket: healthy, locally-sourced food, some grown on the Farm itself. We won't be serving alcohol, but it's BYOB.You should plan to bring all the extras: wine, cocktails, snacks, drinks, s'mores. Bring enough to share!
DWeb Camp is a community-built event, so it will be what you make it. We supply the land, some shelter, nourishing food, power & the rest is up to you.We hope you'll bring your own project, share your knowledge, launch a conversation, host a tea lounge, launch a hacking project or lead a creative class. The sky's the limit. Enlist your friends to come & help. Sign up to lead a project on the website.

We're creating five campgrounds, one especially for families with children. And there will be three zones: a Healing Zone where Farm staff will lead you in yoga, meditation, body work, & lessons in regenerative gardening. Pick berries in the garden, help harvest honey, or go for a hike through fields of wildflowers to the redwood forest.
The Hacking Zone has power & space to share your latest project, lead a workshop, or do a show-and-tell. We're building a mesh network throughout the area so you can work off-line & test out the latest decentralized tech.
The Creativity Zone has a huge meadow & a Forum with 22 bays-perfect for everything from drones to sculpture.
And there's plenty of places to roast a marshmallow, chill in the tea lounge or just hang out with new friends.

How will we camp?
You can bring your own camping gear, or rent a a canvas bell tent from the Farm & it will be set up when you arrive. A 5-meter canvas tent, cots & bedding for 1-4 people are available when you check out. Or bring your own RV & buy an RV pass. Really hate to camp? Here's a secret: there's a lodge with cabins & suites just 5 minutes away.

What if I volunteer?
We're seeking up to 75 volunteer "Links" to power the camp through the Build (July 15-17), Camp (July 18-21) or Take Down (July 22-23.) You'll be a part of a great team with a special hang-out space stocked 24/7 with things to nourish you. If you volunteer three 4-hour shifts (12 hours) you can qualify for a 50% ticket reimbursement. Volunteer six 4-hour shifts (24 hours) & we'll reimburse 100% of your ticket. Or just volunteer for the fun & camaraderie. After everyone has left on Sunday, stick around for the staff cook-out party when we can enjoy the fruits of our delicious labor. You must first purchase your ticket, then fill out the Volunteer application on the website. We'll be in touch with you!

FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Participants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How can I volunteer to reduce my fees?
Everyone must register for a ticket first. Next apply to volunteer here. We will be selecting up to 75 volunteers who can qualify for 50-100% ticket reimbursement upon completing their volunteer shifts. Find out more about volunteering & other ways to get financial support here:https://dwebcamp.org/participate/
Will there be flush toilets & real showers at the camp?
You are in luck! Yes! They are very nice, actually, with redwood siding. The majority of toilets will be flush toilets & warm showers. We may need to supplement with portable toilets as well, but we are trying to secure biodegradable eco-toilets that are also very pleasant!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to & from the event?
RVs & cars can park on-site with a parking pass. If you transport three or more people, parking for cars is free. We'll be posting a bulletin board for ride sharing & if there's enough interest, we may run a few shuttles to & from San Francisco for an additional fee.
Can I bring my children to the Camp?
Yes, DWeb Camp is a family-friendly event. The first 20 children under the age of 12 will be free. We are planning a special family camping zone & there are lots of fun outdoor activities for kids.
