A Supervisory Patent Examiner will lead a workshop explaining the various parts of a patent application. Attendees will learn about the formalities & requirements of drafting a patent application as well as common pitfalls. Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of the intellectual property system, & patents specifically. It is recommended that attendees take the previous course Introduction to IP with an Emphasis on Patents before taking this workshop. This event is free & open to the public.
Please note that the Silicon Valley USPTO is a federal facility.Visitors are required to present a valid form of government-issued identification (driver license or passport) & may be subject to security screening to gain access.
