This week's talk: Python APIs by Example
Web Application Programming Interfaces (or web APIs) are awesome! They allow automated access to interesting data (tweets, news articles, weather data, etc.) as well as services (embedded maps, image analysis, etc.). This talk will give an overview on how to combine a Flask API & the Google Maps & Google Drive APIs to develop a website which automatically displays geo-tagged pictures & other coordinates on a single, interactive map.
Meet your speaker: Freija Descamps is an experimental physicist & aspiring data scientist.
