It's a wrap! Cohort 3 is finishing up, & it's time to celebrate the student journey. We've had a blast these past 10 weeks, so let's finish it off with a bang.
This evening will consist of a project gallery walkthrough, a keynote speech from Lon Addison- author, professor, leader, & strategist- & a concluding project award ceremony. We will discuss the ultimate potential around this exciting technology, but more importantly, the ethics involved as well.
So join us! Join us for an evening of celebration, learning, & networking, as the Cohort 3 Night Course students showcase their learnings in their final projects. In 10 weeks, the studentshave gone from beginner to proficient Unity VR developers, have learned the core functionality of the Unity editor, & practiced by creating worlds, bringing them to life, establishing interaction, locomotion, UI, 360, polish, optimization, & more.
This is a time to celebrate the students, their work, & the beginning of a VR educational journey.

About Lon Addison

The architect of numerous digital information systems, work ranges from UNESCO's social media strategy & award-winning World Heritage web, to Microsoft/IDRC's Telecentre, a UN-wide conservation treaty knowledge-bank, & more.He has built strategic relations & multi-million-dollar alliances with partners from Apple to Google, Panasonic to Nokia, & governments across the globe. He serves as President of the Int'l VSMM Society, VP of ICOMOS' Int'l Scientific Committee for Interpretation & Presentation, & on the boards of multiple philanthropies & non-profits.Prof. Addison has authored/edited dozens of books/papers, including "Disappearing World" (HarperCollins, 2007-09) published to acclaim in 9 languages. Co-founder of the DigitalHeritage Int'l Congresses, he has lectured at universities from Oxford to Tokyo, & Dresden to Cairo, & currently serves as Guest Professor in the Lemaire Centre for Conservation at KU Leuven & Adjunct Professor in Design at OCAD University.
