Chris Yeh is an active angel investor & advisor to a wide array of startups. Yeh has been building Internet businesses since 1995. He is the VP Marketing forPBworks, which provides highly vertical collaboration solutions that help businesses work more efficiently & effectively. Its products serve markets such as advertising & marketing agencies, law firms, & education, as well as the broader business market.
Chris is currently a General Partner atWasabi Ventures, a global venture fund, startup incubator, & consulting firm, where he leads the firm's investment committee.
Previously, he was the first investor in & interim CEO ofUstream.TV, which provides an open & distributable platform for live interactive online video. He also helped start numerous other companies, including Symphoniq Corporation, TargetFirst, & Juno Online Services & FarSight Financial Services (divisions of D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P.).
Chris co-authored Blitzscaling, The Lightning-fast Path to Building Massively Valuable Companies, withReid Hoffman; Foreword byBill Gates.
He also co-authored The Alliance, A New Framework For Managing Today's Employees, with Reid Hoffman & Ben Casnocha.
Chris is the founder & Chairman of theHarvard Business School Technology Alumni Association. He earned two degrees from Stanford University & an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar.
Marcia Dawoodwas a Managing Director in two angel investment groups, BlueTree Allied Angels & Golden Seeds.For BlueTree, she is also the Chairman of the Education Committee & served on the deal flow & screening committees as well as actively leads due diligence projects.Marcia has experience evaluating & mentoring startup companies & investment opportunities She supports women led, impact as well as tech/life sciences & overall fun companies & is passionate about education as well as investment.
Marcia has taken an active role in serving as the syndication lead between BlueTree & Golden Seeds bringing the two groups together to collaborate & optimize deal flow & due diligence information.
Marcia also serves on the Board of the Angel Capital Association (ACA), an organization that represents over 12,000 accredited investor members, 220 angel groups & accredited platforms that have invested in well over 10,000 entrepreneurial companies.
Marcia is currently General Partner, MINDSHIFT Capital. She co-founded Enova Funds I & II at BlueTree Capital & is part of the investment committee of Next Wave Impact Fund I.She is also a member of Golden Seeds.Her position as board member/membership chair of the Angel Capital Association gives her a vast global network of early stage deal flow.
