Founded in 2015, Activate empowers scientists to reinvent the world by launching startups to address climate change & other global challenges.nActivate's 188 fellows, both current & alumni, have established 147 companies & created over 2,000 U.S. jobs. Fellowships have led to 99 new patents granted & nearly $1.9B in follow-on funding from leading public & private sourcesa nearly 31X leverage for every dollar spent supporting a fellow. Activates entrepreneurial fellowship model originated at Cyclotron Road, a division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory & founding Activate partner.
