Join us in Spring 2019 for the Climate Career Fair & Forum, presented by Climate.Careers: http://www.climate.careers/.

-Learn about employment opportunities at 30+ for-profit & non-profit organizations that are working to mitigate climate change. Meet the founders, hiring managers, & other org representatives in a low-pressure, social setting.
-Deepen your understanding of climate change. Learn about the work currently being done to address the causes & effects of climate change across a variety of industries & fields including energy, food, education, climate justice, buildings & construction, land use, transportation, material sciences, smart cities, public policy, & more.
-Hear from leaders at startups & established companies, VCs, NPOs, & representatives from the public sector who are currently delivering climate-focused products, services, & policy initiatives.
-Enjoy climate-beneficial snacks & light refreshments while networking with like-minded individuals who are driven to make the world a better place through their work.

This event is inspired by the work of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, leading economic proposals such as "The Green New Deal", & books like Paul Hawken's "Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming".

The Career Fair: The Spring 2019 Climate Career Fair & Forum aims to empower the solutions to the greatest environmental challenges we face, by bringing together mission-driven job seekers & organizations working to mitigate the causes & effects of climate change. We hope to help people find meaningful, fulfilling work that aligns with improving the health of our home planet.

The Forum: This event is as much about education & the exchange of ideas as it is about employment. In addition to the career fair component, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to & participate in panel & group discussions on a variety of topics. Some of the larger questions we hope to discuss include:

-How will the increasing effects of climate change effect the employment landscape in the coming decades?
-What are the underlying social, economic, & political forces driving climate change?
-Can we properly mitigate climate change through capitalist means & market-derived solutions? If so, what would qualify sustainable capitalism?
-How do we quantify & more deeply understand the commonly used term "impact", both socially & environmentally?

Job seekers:

-Are you concerned about the future of our planet & your role within it? Are you struggling to develop a fulfilling career in which you can make a truly positive impact on the world through your work? Are you eager to be introduced to organizations working to address climate change & global warming?
-If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, this event is designed for you!
-If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer to help spread the word about this event, or to help on the day of the event, please contact [masked]

Companies, NPOs, government representatives/agencies, & domain experts: Would you like to have a table at our event, present on a specific topic, and/or join for an on-stage panel discussion? We are currently seeking domain experts to participate in a variety of ways. We are also seeking a qualified keynote speaker.

For all questions, email [masked].

We look forward to meeting you. Let's build a sustainable, more beautiful future, together.
