Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Vice President, ICHRA General Manager to join our Sales team.

About the role

The ICHRA General Manager is responsible for driving market level strategies to achieve Oscars ICHRA growth goals.  Accountability includes achieving growth targets in conjunction with platform partners & aligned network strategies with Market P&L.  The role is both internally & externally facing, requiring high levels of cross-functional coordination, platform & broker engagement, regulatory advocacy & provider interaction.

You will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $232,000 - $304,500 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement acquisition strategies across various employer segments leveraging the sales & marketing teams & in conjunction with platform partners.
  • Evaluates, updates, & develops products by adhering to rules, regulations, & requirements while considering current market trends & customer needs. Manages the product roadmap to ensure ongoing improvements.
  • Serve as connective tissue between Oscar teams to ensure cohesive strategy & coordination to deliver on ICHRA goals 
  • Partner with Market P&L to identify target markets & create customized network contracting plans to support ICHRA.
  • Partner with platforms to drive growth & a feedback loop to enhance our product offerings 
  • Partner with Finance organization to manage the P&L of the business & how we allocate capital & resources to hit growth targets
  • Partner with marketing on strategies to drive growth, name recognition & leverage IFP success in target markets
  • Identify, analyze, & recommend critical strategic initiatives to ensure successful management of product - including Affordability & Risk Adjustment efforts 
  • Identify & develop key partnerships (e.g. flagship brands, HR / Payroll partners, benefit consultants) that catalyze top line ICHRA growth
  • Represent ICHRA in key forums with Oscar leadership - driving data & development of narrative for Board Meetings, OpCo, & key governance meetings 
  • Coach, develop & lead a team to meet successful business outcomes
  • Partner with Oscars Regulatory & Government Affairs team to shape ICHRA policy at the federal & state level
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in healthcare payer space preferably in employer segment 
  • Strong financial acumen & experience with modeling, data & insights
  • Experience in developing a business from the ground up
  • Experience in high growth environment with proven ability to move quickly on execution & garner cross functional support
  • Experience leading a market or region for a healthcare payer
  • Client management experience, particularly with large scale partnerships
  • Strong provider & distribution relationships
  • Experience developing presentations & narratives to inform senior leadership on product

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
