Were seeking a Conference & Events Operations Lead to join our Operations team. The Conference & Events Operations Lead will report directly to the Conference & Events Supervisor.
Please note: The candidate must currently reside in the UK & be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
What Youll Do:
As a Conference & Events Operations Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of all programs, while maintaining a profitable operation & high-quality products & service levels. Conference & Events Operations Leads are also expected to share ideas to promote business & assist with scheduling & leading the service team. In this role, you will use Convenes Core Values to guide your day-to-day & ensure our clients have a wonderful experience.
- Set up the service of culinary in a quick & efficient manner for participants & ensure that it follows the Program Execution Order
- Coordinate culinary service between the culinary team & service team
- Monitor inventory & keep culinary informed of accurate counts
- Follow health & safety regulations & ensure sanitation & cleanliness of service areas
- Manage opening and/or closing inspection duties
- Ensure positive overall client satisfaction
- Ability to interact with guests and/or associates in a courteous, empathetic, & discreet manner
- Set up, replenish, maintain, & breakdown Food & Beverage stations
- Accommodate special client needs & last-minute requests
- Read, understand, & execute Program Execution Orders
- Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, & proper food handling
- Have full knowledge of menus, recipes, & other pertinent information
- Perform opening, mid-shift, & closing duties in accordance with company standards
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Maintain professional working relationships with the team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We Look For:
- Strong knowledge of service standards, & different service types
- Knowledge of food & beverage preparation techniques, health department rules & regulations, liquor laws & regulations
- Flexible & long hours sometimes required
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, & place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to reach overhead & below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, & stooping
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Proficient in multitasking
- A food Hygiene or Food Handling Certificate preferred
