The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will own & execute strategy & operations for all ingredient sub-categories within Grocery (i.e. Dairy, Dry, Spices, Processed Goods, Baked Goods & HelloFresh Market). Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing activities, the quality & sustainability aspects of our products & general management of our supplier network required to be able to meet our ingredient specifications. You will also lead negotiations with vendors, develop exciting new product offerings, & guide procurement process improvements. By engaging closely with suppliers, supply chain teams & our culinary department you will play a key role in building the best meal kit product in the market.

• Refine & implement a sourcing & supply chain strategy for our Grocery categories that maximizes quality, reduces risk, & increases profitability
• Be accountable for category performance: delivering saving initiatives, ensuring on time/in full/in quality delivery from all vendors, supporting internal stakeholders to execute the plan. In general, you will be seen at the Subject Matter Expert across the organization for all aspects of the Grocery categories
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement, both internally & externally through strong vendor relationships, identify opportunities for cost reduction & quality improvements & implement best practice
• Build & maintain a strong supplier base that align with our company values; own relationships with our strategic suppliers, including performance management & innovation activities
• Partner with internal stakeholder groups, particularly Procurement Operations, Quality & Technical & Product, to execute projects and/or improvements from ideation to national launch to performance review; provide Project Management support for Grocery initiatives across supply chain
• Coach & mentor a team of direct & indirect reports
• Other duties as assigned by your manager & leadership team

• 5 - 10 years of supply chain, operations, management consulting or strategic sourcing experience with Bachelors and/or Masters degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related discipline
• Authentic leadership: direct communicator, able to build strong relationships across the company with all levels, coaching & mentoring employees of all levels;
• Great collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work closely with cross-functional team;
• Ability to handle multiple projects & assignments at a time to prioritize & meet budget deadlines & achieve objectives;
• Top-notch problem solving skills - you can be creative, collaborative, & relentless to overcome any hurdle!;
• Strong analytical & data skills: you can translate numbers into action & approach problems with data & facts.
• Strong knowledge & interest in strategic sourcing & continuous improvement processes
• An entrepreneurial mindset & a passion for solving complex problems
• Availability to travel within Canada, & occasionally Internationally, up to 15%
