What youll do

• Own complex areas of general ledger accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, & key account reconciliations
• Manage intercompany processes: invoice accounting, inventory recharges, loan interest recharges, & AP/AR reconciliations
• Oversee lease accounting (IFRS 16) & ensure accurate monthly reporting
• Support monthly & annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS & HGB (German GAAP)
• Prepare prepayments, review accruals, & ensure timely submission of statutory reports (e.g. Z5, K3 to Bundesbank)
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Group Reporting, & external auditors to ensure alignment & accuracy
• Drive continuous process improvements & contribute to special projects across accounting teams
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making, using Excel/Google Sheets & tools such as Oracle, Tableau, or Tagetik

What youll bring

• Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills across all levels; German is a nice-to-have
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; professional certifications such as CPA, CIMA, or ACCA are a plus
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally in fast-paced, international environments
• Solid understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&Ls, & Cash Flows) & strong working knowledge of IFRS & HGB
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, & continuously striving for process & performance improvements
• Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets & experienced with standard accounting systems; ability to analyze & interpret large data sets
• Bonus points for familiarity with Oracle, Tableau, Workday Adaptive, or Tagetik
• A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, openness to learning, & a positive attitude
