We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - GenAI Platform to lead the development of our groundbreaking GenAI platform, with a focus on creating the simplest, most accessible GenAI solution in the market. Just as DigitalOcean revolutionized cloud computing with the Droplet by delivering unparalleled simplicity, you will play a key role in transforming the GenAI space with the same vision.

As a Senior Product Manager for GenAI at DigitalOcean, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of AI. You will own the strategy & roadmap for the GenAI platform, driving how we deliver solutions to both our existing & future user base. In this role, youll need to stay ahead of industry trends & technologies, ensuring we build the tools our customers need today & tomorrow. Your work will guide the next evolution of cloud computing at DigitalOcean, furthering our mission of making powerful technology simple & accessible for everyone.

What Youll Do:

• Drive Product Vision: Develop the product vision, strategy, roadmap for the DigitalOcean GenAI platform that allows users to easily build tailored AI applications using features like RAG, fine-tuning, & guardrails.
• Enable GenAI Application Building: Own the end-to-end customer experience for users building AI-powered applications, from model selection to deployment. Work on simplifying the process of building & deploying GenAI applications tailored to specific use cases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between design, engineering, marketing, & customer success teams, ensuring a cohesive product experience.
  Model & Feature Partnership Development: Manage & build partnership with model providers, & other innovators in the genAI ecosystem to enhance the platform.
• Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage product usage data, customer feedback, & industry trends to inform the product roadmap. Use data to optimize user experience, feature development, & business outcomes.
• Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution: Develop launch plans & positioning for new features that make GenAI application development easier & more accessible.
• Monitor Performance & Iterate: Continuously monitor key metrics such as user adoption, feature usage, & customer satisfaction. Use these insights to drive continuous iteration & improvement of the platform.

Key Metrics:

• User Adoption & Retention: Measure the rate of adoption for features like RAG, fine-tuning, & application-building tools, tracking how these features impact user retention.
• Feature Utilization: Monitor the utilization advanced tools to identify opportunities for further development.
• Platform Growth: Measure overall growth in user acquisition & active usage as a direct result of enhancements to key features.
• Time-to-Deployment: Track how quickly users can build & deploy GenAI applications using the platform, measuring improvements in user efficiency.
• Market Competitiveness: Benchmark product features & performance against key competitors in the GenAI space, tracking improvements in competitive standing & product differentiation.

What Youll Add to DigitalOcean:

• 5-10 Years of Product Experience: Skilled in full product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch, with a focus on market-driven product decisions & iterative improvements.
• Cloud Experience: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, & architecture, with hands-on experience in cloud product development & deployment. (
• Developer Platform Expertise: Background in building or managing platforms tailored to developers, emphasizing usability, APIs, integrations, & efficient developer workflows.
• GenAI Product Development: Hands-on experience in developing or managing products in the Generative AI space, including model management, prompt engineering, & supporting LLMOps or MLOps processes.

• We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is  $156,000 - $204,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, & skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company & individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire & the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
