About the Position:

At Qumulo, we've built a truly outstanding modern file data platform from scratch. Our software runs natively in the public cloud or in private data centers, allowing our customers to truly Scale Anywhere.  Its incredibly exciting work & there is a lot more to do to make our full vision reality. As an Intern you will be a full member of the Qumulo engineering team doing production work in our system. Your work will take an innovative product to the next level, see that effort fuel customer innovation, & grow the Qumulo business.

We hire committed, adaptive engineers with a diverse set of backgrounds & who we can depend on to solve problems head on. Our engineers work collaboratively both within the product development organization & across the company to ship a continuously integrated & deployed code base. Engineers at Qumulo work alongside people who have an appetite for collaborative coding environments. It's a community where individual engineers have a voice. Our teams are given the charter to design & build the features that deliver clear value to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members on design, code reviews, & pair programming
  • Collaborate with team members & area leads on architecture & design of new/updated features
  • Contribute to feature development & testing using C, Rust & Python
  • Define & implement customer-facing features & internal improvements
  • Help debug & fix test failures & product or service issues

Qualifications:

  • Ability to write well-factored & well-tested code
  • Strong grasp of algorithms & data structures, with some experience in distributed systems, database concepts, concurrent programming, or operating systems concepts
  • At least one class, internship or personal project using C, C++, Rust, Java, or Go
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with a team to solve complex problems
  • Pursuing a BS or BA in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
