The Head of Data Science & AI Platform will provide visionary leadership for our comprehensive data science & AI initiatives, developing & executing strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes. This role involves balancing innovation in both predictive modeling & generative AI applications, while building & scaling high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, & translating complex data into actionable insights that fuel product innovation & business growth.

Responsibilities

• Define & execute enterprise AI strategies aligned with business goals, while owning delivery of business strategy & measurable impact through direct collaboration with executive teams
• Identify high-value AI opportunities that drive competitive advantage, representing the organization's AI vision through strategic partnerships & industry presence
• Lead comprehensive AI initiatives spanning predictive & generative AI, overseeing development of advanced models & ensuring systems are scalable, efficient, & adhere to responsible AI guidelines
• Drive AI-powered product innovation from ideation to production, partnering with data engineering to build robust infrastructure that supports both traditional & emerging AI applications
• Build & lead high-performing, diverse teams of data scientists & engineers across multiple locations, recruiting & developing top talent in a remote/virtual-first environment
• Foster a culture of excellence that embodies agency, growth mindset, & continuous learning, with clear career development paths aligned with both company objectives & personal growth
• Optimize end-to-end AI operations with bias toward action & high-quality execution, incorporating best practices for data management, model deployment, & monitoring

• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, marketing, & operations teams to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions, translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for all stakeholders
• Promote a data-first culture throughout the organization while demonstrating customer obsession, operating effectively across complex organizational structure

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field with 12+ years of data science and/or AI/ML experience in software companies, including 6+ years managing high-performance teams
• Proven track record of driving business impact through data science initiatives across different company scales, from startups to large enterprises
• Comprehensive expertise in both predictive & generative AI technologies, including statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, data visualization, & their practical business applications
• Experience with large-scale data & ML systems & cloud platforms, combined with strong understanding of responsible AI practices & current industry trends
