Critical Mass is hiring a Media Director Paid Search, to join our growing team.  As the Media Director you drive the strategic use of media to impact a clients business performance.  You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, oversee media strategies, & leverage your expertise to deliver exceptional results in the field of paid search marketing.

 


You will:

  • Act as a search media expert for internal teams consultation
  • Design & share search POVs & case studies across the business & develop cross-discipline communication planning & drive synergy with Paid Social, Programmatic, Display, Content Syndication, etc
  • Engage with planning team & clients to build a strong understanding of their needs & how they can best utilize search media for their competitive advantage
  • Oversee & provide guidance on long term strategic plans respective of the clients business goals including but not limited to annual & quarterly planning, QBRs & EOC reports
  • Oversee & contribute to in person meetings on a monthly/quarterly basis to build & maintain a deep-rooted partnership driving excitement for paid search opportunities
  • Uncover/understand objectives, challenges & needs by performing regular client needs assessments, check-ins, & interfacing regularly with senior level
  • Stay abreast of & disseminate relevant industry trends to keep the brand atop of the latest paid search opportunities
  • Manage & lead & grow a team search professional varying in roles & responsibilities
  • Allocate resources to allow for both meeting the client's current needs but also investing & focusing efforts for future growth
  • Facilitate communication & process between team & internal as well as external stakeholders to collectively attain client objectives
  • Act as the main point of escalation for the internal & external teams to quickly troubleshoot questions, concerns, or challenges
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to provide insight into leadership viewpoints, client priorities & industry trend updates
  • Analytically extract insight/actions from data & relate the story back to planning team/clients business goals
  • Lead search innovation & vision- regarding new products & enhancements
  • Identify & test new channels & products, highlighting results & sharing across organization & with external clients
  • Negotiate partnership opportunities on behalf of the client to ensure the most value for the respective investment
  • Partner with publishers to influence roadmap & future product rollouts on respective of client business goals

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a complex, technical product environment, including at least five years of management experience
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • In-depth understanding of search media campaign management & optimization practices
  • Proven to be a proactive self-starter with experience leading large accounts within an agency in an integrated fashion (collaboration, data sharing, co-leading efforts focused on client satisfaction, growth, performance vs KPIs)
  • Outstanding ability to manage & develop a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of stress tolerance
  • Excellent relationship building with internal & external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills & are able to present & articulate persuasive & cohesive presentations & points-of-view
  • Proven to be a trusted advisor to senior clients & are seen as a vital part of their team;
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, & self-motivation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relations including handling difficult client situations gaining optimal results for both the client & the company
