This is an individual contributor role responsible for identifying business development, to increase card acceptance in Ecuador, by working with merchants, Acquirers, Third Party Agents & other internal & external stakeholders. Position will be located at the Visa office in Quito, Ecuador.
Support the implementation of the MS&A Strategy for the country in coordination with the local team, Country Manager & Regional Hierarchy.
Identify, develop & lead the management of key merchant & Acquirer accounts. Add value to strategic merchants & Acquirers through the development & implementation of initiatives which increase acceptance & use of Visa products with strong emphasis in Omni channel & digital solutions.
Responsible for measuring & monitoring the results of those activities.
Develop & lead the strategic alliances with Acquirers & merchants, & other stakeholders to achieve brand preference including initiatives related to product, marketing & technology
Analyze market data to identify Merchant & Acquiring development opportunities in line with the plans
Position will be responsible for managing the budget assigned to ensure implementation of plans is done on a timely basis & within available resources.
Reporting Relationships & Interactions
Position will report to Vice President MS&A Central America, Caribbean & Andean Region & to the Ecuador Country Manager
He/she will interact internally with Sales, Products & Marketing teams, among others, & the MS&A Local, Regional & Global teams.
Externally the position will interact with several stakeholders, including merchants, Acquirers & Third Party Agents.
Knowledge & understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems & processes; merchant/retail experience in the designated markets is desired.
Marketing, Sales Experience
Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance is required.
Excellent business planning & project management skills
Ability to work independently & engage multiple levels of management
Ability to manage & grow internal & external resources & cross functional relationships
5 years of experience, Retail or payments industry preferable
Fluent in English & Spanish
Ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
Ability to identify & implement business projects
Excellent presentation skills
Experience & Education Required
Bachelor's Degree business/ economic
