The role

As an a Production Planner for our YouFoodz brand, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient & effective production of food products within our YouFoodz fresh ready to eat meal manufacturing site based in Karawatha. This exciting position involves coordinating various elements of the production process to meet customer demands, optimize resource utilization, & uphold quality standards across our brand & our site. As a Production Planner, you will collaborate with cross- functional teams, including production & procurement to achieve seamless operations & keep us best in the business. 

What you'll do

• Develop & maintain a detailed production schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, & inventory levels
• Balance production capacity with demand to maximize efficiency & minimize lead
• Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or unforeseen issues
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste & product obsolescence
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely & accurate availability of raw materials
• Work closely with production teams to communicate production schedules & priorities
• Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams to address production
• challenges & maintain alignment
• Coordinate with the production team to optimize labor, equipment, & other resources to meet production targets
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency & reduce costs
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards 
• Implement measures to address & prevent production issues that may affect product quality
•  Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, & other relevant data
• Generate reports on production performance, identify trends, & recommend improvements

What youll bring...

• Experience in a production planning role, ideally within FMGC
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
• Demonstrated high level of attention to detail Advanced use of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel
• Knowledge of food safety regulations & industry best practices
• Proven ability to partner with key stakeholders & senior leaders
• High levels of resilience, professionalism & work ethic
• APICS CPIM or equivalent
