As an Senior Internal Audit, youll play a key role in safeguarding Riots assets & reputation by evaluating risk, improving internal controls, & providing trusted advisory support across the business. You wont just check boxes youll work cross-functionally to help Riot level up its processes, mitigate risk, & strengthen operational excellence, all while keeping our focus where it belongs: on players.
Responsibilities:
- Lead & execute internal audit projects across a variety of operational & financial areas, including planning, fieldwork, & reporting.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify areas of risk or inefficiency, & recommend practical, value-add solutions.
- Partner with business teams to provide advisory services & support control design for new or evolving processes.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, anomalies, or risk indicators, & use findings to inform audits & management recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, & GAAP standards.
- Work closely with external auditors, Legal, & Compliance teams to coordinate audit scopes & findings.
- Develop & maintain risk assessment & audit plans to ensure high-impact areas receive appropriate coverage.
- Drive enhancements to audit methodology, reporting, & technology enablement.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports & present findings to Finance & business leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in internal audit, risk advisory, or public accounting (Big 4 or similar environment preferred)
- Solid understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), SOX requirements, & enterprise risk management.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), data analytics tools, & audit management software.
- Ability to communicate complex issues with clarity, professionalism, & tact.
- Strong analytical, organizational, & project management skills.
- Passion for innovation & a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Desired Qualifications:
- CPA, CIA, or CFE certification strongly preferred.
