Part of Omnicoms Precision Marketing Group, RAPP is comprised of 2,000+ creatives, technologists, strategists, & data & marketing scientists across 15+ global markets.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Copywriter, you are a strong conceptual thinker who knows how to bring a story to life across digital channels & user journeys. Youre comfortable pushing the boundaries of creative excellence while keeping an eye on delivering required results. You know how to partner with cross-disciplinary teams & creatives across every phase of the development from ideation to implementation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bringing your full self to all you do every single day
  • Ability to Create, Present & Execute creative concepts that are on strategy across all direct marketing channels (email, print, display, social, OLTV, Radio, Web & soon the metaverse).
  • Uses data-driven insights tech innovation to inform creative ideas & concepts.
  • Comes up with multiple ways of answering the briefs that are original & unexpected.
  • Shows eagerness to experiment, collaborate, & see ideas implemented.
  • Demonstrates an appreciation for the importance of data-driven insight in the creative process.
  • Ability to be autonomous in daily activities but maintains connected through regular check ins & updates to manager.
  • Manages work efficiently with accountability to always deliver on time, on budget & on brief.
  • Produces work that goes above & beyond what the client & agency expect
  • Creates & checks copy, design & artwork with obsessive attention to detail
  • Participates in creative department, local office & national RAPP activities, meetings, trainings, & developmental opportunities.
  •  Ability to express ideas through concept statements, mini-manifestos, & other forms of writing to quickly get an idea across.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Authoritatively present your copy & strategic concepts to senior team members, where comfortable, is willing to present to clients & other agency teams.
  • Stay current with changes in technology & demonstrate technical proficiency.
  • Able to relate to others, is patient with junior team members.
  • Expected to mentor junior member/s of the team.
  • Displays an interest in the company culture & looks for ways to add value to it.
  • Shows hunger & fearlessness through dedication to their craft.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2+ years' experience in advertising (CRM a huge plus)
  • Must have a proven portfolio of spec, produced & award-winning work.
  • Must demonstrate expertise in digital & traditional mediums
  • Must provide examples of long & short form copy.
  • Must demonstrate an excellent copywriting craft that is fueled by strong conceptual thinking
  • Must take ownership & be confident in talking about copy & concept decisions
  • Must strive to overdeliver & always show different solutions to a creative ask
  • Must possess amazing communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Can present with knowledge & lead presentations.
  • Brings the experience to lead, execute & complete projects of all sizes with resourcefulness & dedication.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software & awareness of new technologies or vendor partners that can amplify creative work 
  • Knowledge & basic use of Figma a plus
  • Willingness to embrace & use AI in your work
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Our Hybrid Work Model:

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections & collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

RAPP provides a competitive salary & comprehensive benefits plan. For more information regarding Omnicom benefits, please visit www.omnicombenefits.com. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role, at the time of posting, is $55,000 - $70,000. This range is specific to Detroit & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
