WEBTOON Entertainment (WEBTOON) is seeking an experienced Security Governance professional to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for designing, leading, & managing our global IT, Security, & Privacy governance & compliance framework from our LA-based headquarters.
You will be responsible for designing & implementing key IT & Security internal controls to meet audit & compliance requirements, while ensuring corporate-wide adherence to global standards through continuous policy review & audit readiness management. You will also support the design of product & infrastructure-specific security controls. A critical part of this role involves leading global stakeholder workshops & collaborating closely with Legal, Product, & Engineering teams. Professional proficiency in both English & Korean is essential for this cross-border collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a strategic expert with 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT compliance, audit, or security within a multinational environment. You must be skilled at articulating risk & mitigation strategies to diverse stakeholders & possess a strong technical understanding of compliance frameworks like SOC 1, SOC 2, & ISO.
