Critical Mass' Internship opportunities are part of our Trailhead Program & will provide a 12-week jump-start to your career. The program is a fast-track to launch your career through regular learning opportunities, mentorship, client work exposure, while also getting paid. We aim to show you all the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass, & to support you as part of the team! You will have the opportunity to try the digital agency world through multiple internship & client projects to see if it's for you! 

Our Internship will run from May 21-August 9, 2024.

The Human Resources (HR) Intern is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong desire to learn more about various HR functions in a contemporary, fast-paced environment. The HR Intern will provide support to the human resources team in a variety of ways. The successful candidate will gain experience with HRIS systems, employee feedback surveys, employee experience & recognition, career development processes, & policy & procedure administration.  

You Will:

  • Have exposure to & be trained on the career development process, communication of company policies, employee data management, & the employee experience function.
  • Assist with management of data in HRIS systems to ensure data is accurate through data entry, audits, & data validation.
  • Support the design & maintenance of systems & procedures to ensure the validity of data across systems.
  • Assist with management of dashboards & queries.
  • Assist in communicating career development & other company processes.
  • Collaborate with & learn from key members of the global human resources team
  • Serve as an information resource & liaison to employees & manager.
  • Support the employee experience team in data reporting & analysis from employee engagement surveys.
  • Prepare basic presentations where requested.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as necessary.

You Have:

  • Current student in HR or business analytics focused post-secondary program.
  • Have experience in training & development or have some related work experience.
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (intermediate knowledge in Excel & Outlook), Keynote.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral & written.
  • High degree of confidentiality & dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, & eager to learn & grow.
  • Good use of tact & judgment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills & a customer service focused attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Aptitude & desire for a career in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of employment related laws & practices is a plus.
  • HR-related data analysis a plus.
