The Job

As 500pxs Marketing Copywriter, you will be primarily responsible for writing, reviewing, & editing content for the company. Reporting to the Senior Marketing & Brand Manager & working very closely with marketing, product, design, & licensing teams. You will be involved in everything from landing page copy to product copy, to emails & ads. Were looking for someone who can write creatively (we love puns) but also has the technical skills to deliver content in an effective way.

What you'll be doing:

• Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice for various mediums
• Collaborate with designers, PR & other team members on large & small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns & landing pages)
• Edit & proofread copy as needed
• Use SEO principles to maximize copys reach
• Source images & other content
• Develop & maintain the brand voice & tone
• Use data-driven marketing to guide copy decisions
• Create guidelines as needed to ensure content is in line with our brand & strategy
• Regularly share insights & findings to stakeholders
• Comfortably adjust voice & tone depending on target audience/ platform
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
• Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience & drives action

What the ideal candidate will have:

• Over 2 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year of experience blogging, copywriting, & copy editing
• Experience with WordPress
• Proficiency in MS Office & WordPress or other Content Management Software
• Excellent communication, writing, & grammar skills
• Project management skills & attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple projects at once & pivot on a dime if needed
• Creative mindset (bonus points if you love puns)
• Interested in photography & have a good eye for design
• A degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
• Ability to work independently & with a team to meet deadlines

Interview Process

1. Phone screen: < 30 min conversation with a hiring manager
2. Take-home test: we'll ask you to write a few short pieces, & then share with us to review
3. Team interviews: 2-3 hours on Zoom where you'll e-meet multiple members of our team
