Location: Aero Dr NE & Aero Cres NE, Calgary

Shift: This position will provide a full time consistent schedule, will require weekend availability. 

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Hub Manager, the Hub Supervisor will provide on-shift leadership to staff & will oversee all Hub-related activities, including sortation operations, vehicle loading, & on-road delivery operations. Providing front-line leadership, you will own the day-to-day operations of the business, coordinate vehicle capacity, & serve as the primary support person for hourly staff. Safety is of the utmost importance at HelloFresh & you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, reporting, & ensuring all policies & procedures are followed. You will help shape & scale an industry-leading chilled last-mile delivery operation in your region, delivering thousands of freshly produced meal boxes directly to our customers each & every day.

What you will be doing:

• Manage a team of Warehouse Associates & Delivery Associates to meet quality standards, achieve performance metrics, & execute the delivery processes end-to-end
• Accountability for health & safety compliance, recordkeeping, reporting & investigation
• Meeting & exceeding service KPIs, & responding to customer service requests & escalations
• Conduct team huddles to convey safety messaging, & quality tips, & maintain engagement & open communication with employees
• When required, supervise the sortation operation, & loading process, & perform dispatching functions for drivers while on-road. Direct activities & provide training, coaching, & guidance
• Management of employee scheduling, time & attendance, & performance reviews
• Ensure communication on maintenance, availability, & security of all HelloFresh assets along with the Fleet Asset Specialist
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, GMP, & policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
• Build an inclusive workplace culture & relationships with all staff, delivering on development & retention goals
• Operate a lean facility by making recommendations to improve & implement new processes
• Design, develop, & implement warehousing & delivery training programs
• Provide coverage for the Hub Manager when required
• Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

• 2+ years of leadership experience in supply chain, transportation, or fulfillment companies
• 2+ years of direct management experience of employees, contingent workforce, or third-party resources in a large-scale environment
• Valid Class 5 license (or equivalent in Canadian Province)
• Meet schedules/timelines & organize your work. Can reliably work alternative & flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, & holidays as required
• Leadership experience motivating & encouraging others
• Basic proficiency in manipulating data & reporting
• Can lift 50 lbs & participate in physical job activities such as standing, walking, & crouching daily. Can work in an environment that may be hot, cold, & noisy.
• A forklift, Reach Truck, or Stacker Operator license is ideal, but we will train the right candidates
• Ability to work calmly & effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
