YOUR ROLE:
The Account Director is a master of coordination, demonstrating high potential in core Business Leadership skills. You will understand the agency portfolio of offerings & how to apply them to solve client business problems. You will partner with & own the relationships with client stakeholders. You are an agency driver who works to keep the agency operations moving along.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a direct liaison between clients, cross-functional leadership, Technology Team & Armys Tech teams
- Actively listens to client needs & feedback & can articulately communicate it back to our Technology Team with clear directions on next steps
- Builds & fosters client trust & effectively manages their feedback & requests against the technology modernization roadmap & reporting scope
- Establishes & maintains strong relationships with the Technology agency partner & become that bridge between our team & theirs across multiple projects & initiatives as scoped in the contract
- Establishes & maintains strong internal relationships with technologists & has an unshakable can do positive attitude
- (In partnership with a PM) Proactively manages & oversees deliverables, releases, resourcing, & hours under/over burn
- Works with PM & Technology Leads on reporting timelines & tasks to ensure that deliverables are met but is also comfortable in course-correcting the team if needed
- Ensures project prioritization is in alignment with client direction & expectation. Works with PM & Technology Leads to ensure prioritization stays on track
- Manage projects autonomously & actively support SVP Technology and/or VP Account Leadership in the management of more complex projects, client out of scope asks & cross-collaborations with agency partners
- (In partnership with Technology leads) Manage technology projects, reports, data pulls, data integrations, etc. based on scoped activities
- Ability to share data & insights cross-functionally & find integration points to other projects/workstreams where technology could impact next steps & future planning
- Presents project updates & roadmap reviews to client & is responsible for addressing client questions, feedback, & next steps.
- Responsible for overall client satisfaction & service/product quality
- Meticulous attention to detail & manages feedback to data analysts
- Builds relationships & establishes open communication stream with other agency partners (IAT)
- Openly accept feedback (work performance and/or team performance) & ability to course correct
- Stays calm & focused under pressure & can skillfully lead project challenges with a solution-oriented approach
- Support technology team on weekly, monthly, & quarterly reporting deliverables & help manage client expectations
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in direct marketing, advertising, and/or digital marketing
- Strong background or have 4+ years experience with tech & CRM
- Previous integrated marketing account experience and/or CRM experience a plus
- Experience supporting integrated marking campaigns (including advertising, email marketing, CRM, digital, social media, SEO/SEM, direct marketing & SMS marketing.)
- Possess excellent planning, organizational, & problem-solving skills
- In depth knowledge of digital marketing tools & technology.
- Is an excellent team player with outstanding communication, written & presentation skills
- Possess basic exposure and/or foundational knowledge of development
- Ability to build relationships & communication flow with clients & agency partners
- Strong strategic skills & ability to develop storytelling decks that marries metrics & data insights with key project objectives, approach, & recommendations. Experience working with Strategists and/or Tech is a plus
- Experience & comfortable in presenting to clients, taking their feedback & managing expectations based on scope
- Experience in working on government projects, contracts and/or military/government client(s) a plus
- Military veteran with experience in tech is a plus
- Effectively manage cross-functional team members to ensure theres collaboration, communication, & alignment in reporting
- Ability & experience in pivoting & course correcting when challenges come up; Comfortable in partnering with internal team members & partner agency to find alternate solutions & manage timelines & expectations
- Experience in working collaboratively within an IAT environment
- Champions the work we do for the client & serves as a voice for them internally
- Eagerness to learn asks questions to build their knowledge of the Army business & the inner workings of internal teams

This range is specific to Chicago & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
