Hi, we're Oscar Medical Group. Were hiring a Medical Assistant to join our Virtual Primary Care team.

About the role:

You will provide support/assistance to a Care Team of physicians & Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) providing care to patients. You will be responsible for collecting all relevant medical information from patients & performing administrative tasks relative to practice & patient needs.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. Working hours will be between 7am - 8pm EST depending on needs.

Pay Transparency:

The pay for this role is $20/hr. You are also eligible for employee benefits, & monthly vacation accrual up to 10 days per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide live video virtual check in & check out support for patients
  • Provide live phone & messaging support for patients
  • Provide support for your Care Team, including virtual physicians, APPs & RNs
  • Plan for each patient's medical needs from initial outreach, care coordination, to resolution
  • Assist with the order process, including sending requisition forms & coordinating referrals
  • Close the loop with providers after referrals are made, including collecting patient notes from providers
  • Schedule appointments with patients for follow up care
  • Call providers & facilities to clarify information & help solve complex cases
  • Coordinate with internal & external parties to ensure patients needs are met (Laboratories, Imaging Facilities, Pharmacies, Vendors)
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a primary care, urgent care or multi-specialty clinic
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma

Bonus points:

  • Experience in a virtual practice environment
  • Spanish language fluency (read, write & speak)

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
