Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Regulatory Operations Legal Analytics Associate to join our Regulatory Data team.

About the role

You will support Regulatory Reporting with a focus in supporting the Legal Team analytics requests, being an extension of their team(s) & building expertise within that assigned space.

You will work on analytical requests & initiatives supporting their stakeholders including building processes, developing scalable are reproducible methodologies, scoping & bringing analyses to execution, & ensuring alignment amongst all stakeholders for the full lifecycle of the Legal analyses.

You will report to the Regulatory Operations & Analytics Manager.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $98,400 - $129,150 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $88,630 - $116,235 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with partners, managing their requests & facilitating communication & understanding of complex data initiatives; you keep your stakeholders informed on timelines & roadblocks, working through problems with them.
  • Analyze data to support business teams in making better informed, data-driven decisions
  • Use data to tell a story that non-technical colleagues will understand, including packaging & presenting findings.
  • Recognize the need to enhance essential operational & analytical dashboards, & define the requirements to enhance them as our user's needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with other teams to align & optimize legal related requests; data requirements, unified methodologies, standardized outputs, holistic use case implementation, & tooling processes.
  • Identify opportunities to create models & tools that produce relevant insights to identify healthcare inefficiencies & generate insights to remove inefficiencies
  • Collaborate across the organization, including owning stakeholder relationships with managers & senior managers , to identify actions to achieve improvements & monitor initiative impact
  • Support other projects as assigned to meet needs
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulation

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of proven expertise in SQL & other data manipulation languages
  • 2+ years demonstrated ability to work with large datasets & distill analyses into relevant insights with a structured & systematic thought process
  • 3+ years delivering analytical support to business units, working with Stakeholders to provide data & analysis to drive decisions
  • Strong communication skills, verbal & written, around business reporting impact & requirements, as demonstrated by 5+ examples / projects of pulling, analyzing, delivering, & presenting highly scrutinized data
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Python, automations, GIT, and/or tool development
  • 4+ years experience, including proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel skills, with ability to use VLookup, nested if statements & connected Sheets

Bonus Points

  • 2+ years experience in preparing healthcare, financial, or legal analytics & reporting
  • 2+ years experience with stakeholder engagement & collaborative lifecycle liaison initiatives

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
