About The Team:
The Data Engineering Team within the Data & Business Intelligence Team is at its core, operational. We are responsible for creating bespoke UK data processing workflows to enable HelloFresh operations to function within the UK marketplace.  You will become a part of our UK data enablement function focusing on driving operational excellence across all UK data pipelines. You will work closely with our global data engineering teams to also ensure UK data pipelines are in synergy with global data engineering projects & strategies. You will provide the technical leadership & vision to help drive continuous improvement to our current data processing workflows; whilst engaging with the Global Supply chain technology owners to ensure new products are incorporated into the UK Data Engineering roadmap.  You will also support the team with day to day coding activities & challenges.

What You Will Be Doing:

• You will be responsible for working on specialized ETL data workflow projects to help drive CI & upgrade the UK HelloFreshs current infrastructure of existing ETL data pipelines as part of a range of UK data services improvement projects
• Support on ensuring UK ETL pipelines are fully automated (e.g. Apache Airflow, Snowflake) & developed into the UK snowflake data environment
• Support daily operations by ensuring BAU ETL workflows are aligned to work with wider UK & Global technical teams data strategies 
• Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to unlock the value of the data we have / they require & help drive best practice 
• Driving improvements to our ETL workflows & their data dependencies being provided by other operational platforms & teams
• Identify & assess opportunities to unlock business value through improvements to the data we collect & how we process it between teams
• Our business & operations are constantly changing, so adaptability is important, as you will work with business stakeholders & IT platforms to understand changes in the operating environment & their dependencies on our tools to help ensure a culture of continuous improvement is delivered

Who You Are:

• You will have extensive knowledge of SQL, Python, Airflow along with data ETL processing from multiple cloud based data sources
• Strong knowledge of working with snowflake data environments
• Experience with data pipelines & workflow management tools
• Experience of delivering highly automated solutions & driving quality in data inputs
• You have worked with business stakeholders on data problems, translating their expertise into data solutions
• Experience with data modeling & data warehousing solutions
• Developed complex internal tools before
• You bring experience with agile methodologies like Scrum & Kanban
• Experience with Apache Spark, Hive & Kafka
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, e.g., AWS (S3, EMR, Glue, Athena)
• Experience working in an Agile environment & using tools such as Github / Jira.

Work Schedule: Hybrid working - 50/50 remote working & flexible start/finish times (role
dependent)
