We are seeking a collaborative, creative, analytical, & globally-focused self-starter to lead the People Operations (HR) function for our Restaurants business unit. An ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong focus on how to grow our HR strategy & tactics to further business needs & outcomes. Equally important will be a laser-focus on employee experience & culture building mind-set. This leadership role will oversee a team of HR Business Partners located across Europe & The Americas. This leader will establish a strong, fruitful partnership with the broader People Operations team to support & enable processes related to the employee lifecycle within the Restaurants teams located across the globe. This role is ideally located in Paris & reports to a VP of People Operations with a strong dotted line to the SVP of Restaurants/CEO of TheFork. This is an opportunity to serve as the people leader for a dynamic & growing global business with a fast-moving & fast-scaling culture & offices across the world. Our business is holistic & covers all types of teams (sales, engineering, G&A, product, marketing, etc) across multiple sub-businesses.

What Youll Do:

  • Develop a global People strategy for the Restaurants business unit that directly maps to the intended achievement of key business goals
  • Create a strong partnership with both the Restaurants leadership teams (located in Western Europe & Needham, Massachusetts) AND the broader HR team (headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts)
  • Determine the People Operations roadmap for the Restaurants business unit, inclusive of setting & measuring quarterly OKRs
  • Develops talent development strategies & implementation plans & programs to identify & grow talent
  • Establishes credibility & trust throughout the Restaurants organization to be an effective problem solver of people issues
  • Build Employer Branding Strategy that will impact the whole candidate & employee life cycle experience at all touchpoints
  • Monitor, analyze, & report on key people data & determine appropriate actions related including development of people programs & processes

What We Seek:

  • Bachelors degree along with at least 12-15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5-7 years leading a team of HR business partners/HR practitioners
  • Ideal candidate will come to the role with a diverse background that include experience in non-HR roles (Ex: management consulting, significant operational responsibility/experience).
  • Previous leadership experience in HR roles or related fields
  • Passionate about communication & partnership across time zones: This role will need to partner closely with HR teams headquartered in Massachusetts. Additionally, though this role is ideally located in Paris, they will be managed by a VP who is also located in Massachusetts. Additionally, their key stakeholder (SVP of Restaurants/CEO of TheFork) is currently also based in Massachusetts

  • This role requires a focus on partnership within a global, matrixed environment. The ability to communicate, forge relationships, & move initiatives forward will be critically linked in this role understanding that these partnerships bring projects to fruition
  • Someone who is able to do the tactical, day to day work (that is sometimes very hands-on) but also understands how this translates into strategy
  • Strategic leader with an aptitude for identifying, attracting & developing talent & building strong teams
  • Experience managing multiple teams of employees across various global locations
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive & confidential materials
  • Prior success in creating improvements to people processes & creating a world-class employee experience
  • Self-starter with willingness to take initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects/initiatives, contribute to results & be committed to meeting tight deadlines
  • Exceptional planning skills & ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding formal & informal presentation skills
  • Ability to travel globally at least once per quarter
