Manager, Engineering & Product Finance

The Manager, Engineering & Product Finance serves as the primary liaison between raw data & high-level executive decision making for the Engineering & Product team. Reporting to the VP FP&A, this individual will partner directly with the Engineering leadership team to plan & prioritize supporting the companys Engineering & Product initiatives. Candidates will have outstanding partnership & communication skills, be able to handle multiple priorities, as well as the ability to deal with the ambiguity that comes in a fast-growing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance business partner to Engineering & Product leadership team
• Drive AWS Cloud Infrastructure cost efficiencies across the company
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end & year-end close processes & corporate reporting requirements 
• Drive the annual planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting processes, variance analysis, & preparation of key metrics
• Identify, recommend, & drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies & scale across the organization
• Develop and/or enhance key metrics that bring insightful & actionable insights
• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 5+ years in varying FP&A roles, SaaS experience strongly preferred
• Prior R&D experience, especially with AWS strongly preferred
• Prior experience with Financial Reporting systems, Netsuite & Adaptive
• Prior business partnering experience, or demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferred
• Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
• Superior analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively translate for non-finance audiences of varying levels
• Excellent modeling skills; highly proficient in excel
• High performance standards with high ethical values & passion for excellence
• Proven ability to operate & succeed within a fast-paced environment

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but arent limited to) role level, skills & competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, & experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, & equity awards.
